More Challenges

Leslie's family has really been hit hard this past year, most of which you have read about here if you're keeping up. Today Leslie received another chemo treatment. We then learned that McGrooter has the flu. He is really sick and we have worked feverishly today to disinfect the house. Leslie's parents came to the rescue to help with this. Then this evening we got a call from Leslie's sister (Dana) in SC. They had to take their three-year-old (Miriam) to the ER after she had a number of symptoms including high sugar. The initial tests point to juvenile diabetes (her sugar was 327). Dana's husband, Clay, has juvenile onset diabetes. Needless to say, this is another huge hit. We are all devastated and hurting. Please keep the family in your prayers.

Pray too for Leslie's protection from the flu. Her body is very vulnerable right now. Pray too that the girls don't get it so that we can get our house clean quickly. Selfishly, I ask you to pray for me as well, as the caregiver. I'm not especially good at this role, and I don't do well with throw up! Leslie and I both had our flu shots, but the kids did not get one this year.
