One Expensive Shot

Today, I took Leslie to the doctor to have her chemo pump removed and to receive her shot which causes her bone marrow to produce platelets. The shot cost $5600! We are so thankful for good health insurance through this whole experience. Leslie continues to deal with fatigue, hot flashes, and the shooting pains that accompany each chemo treatment.

This evening, my mom arrived to spend the weekend here. The kids were so excited, which delayed bed time a little bit. She read to them before bed, and we put them all in the same room so Grandma could sleep in McGrooter's bed.

Please continue to pray for us all, especially for strength!

  1. I got his bed because I snore and he can't sleep in the same room with me! :) But early in the morning, here he comes to crawl in beside me and we slept until Mom made us get up and get ready to go to school!
The weekend was wonderful for me....spending time with the kids, playing games and working puzzles.....great memories!
I enjoyed my time with Les as well. We even stayed up one night until 10:30 because we were determined to finish a butterfly puzzle! It was beautiful and we finished it!!!! That is how I feel about Les.....she is beautiful and is near the finish line. Like McGrooter says....the cancer will be over when the treatments finish!!!! I thank God for your beautiful family...thank you for sharing them with me while you are away on your missionary journeys.
