We're having a good day today and the rain is now really coming down. Boy do we need it! The kids and I are at home playing bowling on the Wii. It's a good Sunday evening activity after naps and such. Not that anyone actually slept, but everyone did lay in their beds for a few minutes. Leslie is now making her Wal-Mart run. I don't think she really feels like doing it, but I think she wants to feel like it so much that she makes herself, instead of just giving me a list. She's been doing pretty well since she didn't have chemo this week, but has complained of feeling "lead boned."
After church today we went to lunch with some of our neighbors, David & Judith. It was great to get to know them, and I was impressed that they even wanted to with our three kids! But the kids did great and let us visit. They recently moved here from Florida and he is teaching English at North Georgia.
Tomorrow the kids are out of school for a teacher workday. So I am going to be home with them. With a 90% chance of rain tomorrow I don't think we'll get much outside time. Too bad we can't have a day like we did yesterday with highs in the low sixties.
Today on bowling I was finally able to beat McGrooter's high score of 209. He talks some serious trash, so I really needed to! I pulled a 217 and so he is now feverishly bowling as much as he can to try and beat my high score (even though he won't admit it). We tried to play a group game of golf with the girls, but they pooped out after the third or fourth hole. It's been great fun to have, not just with the kids but with adults too!
As you can probably tell, I've written this over a few hour period while playing with the kids and refereeing some. So it's probably very scattered. But there you have the latest.
I love to read these "ho hum" blogs when nothing bad is happening! It is a sign of life being normal...which ya'll could definitely use!!! :-)
