Thank You

We have been so blessed by so many friends and family who have ministered to us over the past eight months. We have received countless emails, comments on the blogs, cards, checks, gift cards, meals, and words of encouragement. I have written about some of these things here, but we have not had time to write personal thank you notes. So I am taking the liberty (not that we won't write thank you notes eventually) to write a public "thank you" to all who have cared so deeply for us in these and other ways. Being reminded of people near and far who are thinking about and praying for us has been a great source of encouragement. We will never be the same as the result of this experience, and we will never forget the many ways people have ministered to us.

This week has been a real blessing since Leslie did not receive chemo. Our evenings have gone so smoothly, and we are all enjoying an experience that has been closer to normal than we have known in a long time. Leslie continues to be exhausted and there are still side effects she struggles with physically, but not having chemo has been huge.

On a side note, McGrooter has his first loose tooth. He is really excited about losing it and even let me pull on it tonight. But it would not come out, to his disappointment. I think he really wanted to show it off at school tomorrow.

On another side note, some readers here may wonder why the corny ads appear on the right side blog. These ads help offset the hosting of the blog in that any time someone clicks on an ad, the advertiser pays for that click. I can't control the content of the ads, but it is worth the experiment to see if any visitors do click on any ads from time to time.

And on a final, somewhat humorous note, our brother-in-law, Clay, recently posted a this video on YouTube. Although he may need counseling, he said it felt really good!
